Assets - 750
Assets are goods owned by an organization. Assets can be barcoded items like cameras, computers, or vehicles. Or a non barcoded items like batteries and cables (typically small items).
Each Asset is linked to a physical location and inherits its features (such as manufacturer, type, model, specifications, rates, and other attributes) from a product type.
*See form tooltips for additional information.
Creating Assets
Assets are typically created in Manage Assets using New Asset or New Asset (Multiple). Assets can also be created when receiving Purchase Orders.
Asset Groups
Asset Groups help organize large numbers of Assets. Example Asset Groups: Audio, Video, Software, etc.
Asset Groups are configurable by users with the appropriate permission level.
Moving Assets
Asset location determines its availability for Rentals. Upon creation an Asset is linked to a location. However, through its lifecycle, it can be moved as needed to reflect its actual physical location.
Assets Pick Lists
Asset Pick Lists are used to list groups of assets for specific (often temporary) usage.
